Like A Thief In The Night

Do you see what is going on?

'You have eyes but you can't see and ears but you can't hear! '

Wake up! Snap out of it and look at what is happening in the world today!

I was literally stunned when I came across these news headlines online:

U.N.: End nation-states, and we'll solve all problems and this one:

UN unveils plan to release untapped wealth of...$7 trillion

Everyone of us should recognize this like a proverbial slap in the face, this is simply a small incremental step by the dark powers of this world within the UN, voicing their desires of enacting a global government. There is work currently on going in establishing the global economy written within these articles, and mention of their desire in establishing a global government by the elimination of nation-states and in giving the secretary general of the UN command of a global army. Many of us have read our Bibles and the well known, "Left Behind" series and are full aware that this corrupt organization was established to be the end times global government and that the antichrist would be made known and elected as the new secretary general. The end times game pieces are slowly being moved into their places, but unfortunately the people of this world and many of the body of Christ (the foolish virgins) are still blind to what is currently happening. I rejoice in the gift and knowledge of knowing that our Lord Jesus Christ will soon be here to bring us home, by the rapturing (calling up) of the 'Bride of Christ' to heaven to be with Him for all eternity.

Revelations 3:1-3; Jesus says,
"To the angel of the church in Sardis write: 'These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know what time I will come to you.

Wake up! Be Alert! We are actually seeing prophecy being revealed right before our very eyes, if you will only open your eyes, knock off the scales and see it! Wake up! Keep Watch! Don't be taken by surprise and realize that we have been slothful and lazy servants. Don't be that rebuked lazy servant when our Lord returns. Keep your "clay jars filled with oil" so that you may keep your "lamps trimmed" in expectation of the arrival of our Bridegroom, 'Jesus Christ, our Lord.' Otherwise, you may be left behind and not escape what we have all been waiting for. For the 'Blessed Hope', the 'Open Door', to be 'Caught Up' (the Rapture)....

Matthew 24:36-42; Jesus says,
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day that Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field, one will be taken, the other left. Two women at the mill, one will be taken, the other left. Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come."

I Thessalonians 5:1-11; says,
Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should suprise you like a thief. You are sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as the breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

I Thessalonians 4:16-18; says,
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Matthew 25:1-13; Jesus says,
"At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: 'Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!' Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, 'Give us some of your oil, our lamps are going out.' 'No, they replied, 'there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later, the others also came. 'Sir! Sir!' they said. 'Open the door for us!' But he replied, 'I tell you the truth, I do not know you!' Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or hour."

Do you want to be one of those individuals who are taken and not left behind? Are you still blind and can not see? What can you do to be alert? To wake up? To be saved? You can start, by reading my first blog here. Do what it says for you to to do in the blog. Truthfully and honestly, answer those two important questions. Confess your sins, Repent of your sins (do a 180 degree turn from your sins) and sin no more, and finally, in obedience get baptised (full immersion in water) and you will be saved. If you can do this, then, the angels in heaven & I will rejoice and I look forward to personally congratulating you when we meet our Lord in the air. Selah.

Adultery with Jezebel

We are truly living in interesting & frightening times.

If you read the daily news headlines you would simply be stunned at how far we have fallen as a nation from what our founding fathers had once established. I weep as I read about the decline of purity & faithfulness and the ever increasing rise of sin across our nation and the world.

Our children are no longer safe in our public schools because Jesus is no longer allowed in to protect them.

Our elected officials are becoming more corrupt and untrustwothy, because prayers to Jesus are not allowed to be spoken by them.

Our military personnel are ever being forced into harms way because our military chaplains are not allowed to pray in Jesus name for them.

Pregnant women who wish to abort their unborn children do so because they have not been given a chance to learn that Jesus loves them.

Israel continues to suffer from increasing terrorism because our nation still refuses to stand firm and voice our support for them.

Our children are no longer safe in our nations public schools because those who we thought we could trust to educate them are stealing their innocence from them.

Elected officials are passing legislation criminalizing Christian evangelism by the simple act of pointing out that their sin is going to destroy them.

Abortion mills, civil rights attorney unions, corrupt politicians, immoral sex & porn industries, un-godly 'progressive' churches, etc... the rise of sin in the world is massive and the grace that our great nation once enjoyed is slowly being removed from across the land.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, volcanoes, hunger, terrorism, border invasions, drugs & illegal immigrant smugglers, gang bangers, car jackers, rapists, arsonists, child abuse, domestic violence all are continuously on the rise. Why is this happening?

In Revelations 2:4; Jesus says:
"Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first."

The verses above may sound a little strange to you, but to me, it sounds like this is the current trend this country has chosen to follow. We as a nation were blessed by God, as originally established by our Founding Fathers (whether you may choose to believe that or not), in providing for the birth of our great nation. We have enjoyed numerous heaven sent blessings which provided for the peaceful and prosperous life of this nation. But now, our nation is determined to outlaw all knowledge & instruction of the bible in public schools. It is continuously removing & eradicating everything from public view that has anything to do with the Bible and Jesus from its government buildings (ten commandments mouments, crosses, bible verses, etc). It is always inventing and imposing unjust laws that threaten to bridle our faith in Christ, our freedom of speech and the ability of sharing this Gospel with everyone.

We as a nation have fallen a great height, because we have chosen to turn our backs on our First Love.

Also current news reports that we still continue to refuse to stand firm on the side of Israel and declare that Israel is a nation which has the sovereign right to exist as established by the UN and by the Lord of the Bible. Our nation is even courting the Arab peoples behind Israels back by supporting the PLO and providing them financial aid. Now that Hamas (an Iranian terrorist organization) has won the election running against the Palestinian Authority government. The threat to Israels security has dramatically increased. Russia is providing the nuclear technology to the Iranians to build nuclear power plants and the possibility certainly exists for them to start building WMD's. Will Iran then provide these weapons to Hamas in order to use them against Israel? Will Russia & Iran and the Islamic Arab Coalition attempt to wipe out Israel in a similiar fashion as the US wiped out the Taliban and Al-Qaida? Will the US continue to support the Palestinians, especially now that the terrorists are in charge of the Palestinian Authority as per former president Carter's request? Will the US continue to press Israel to continue to follow through with the 'Land for Peace' accord through political pressure and financial extortion from Washington, DC? Why is the US so intent on commiting adultery by sleeping in the same bed with these Arab nations? Is it because we are so dependent on their oil reserves which they have to offer? Then, why haven't we started investing heavily in alternative fuel sources yet to break away from this adulterous affair?

In Revelations 2:20-23; Jesus says:
"Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways. I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds."

Jezebel of the Bible mislead the people of Israel away from worshiping the Lord of the Old & New Testaments. She taught them to worship false gods and to eat food sacrificed to idols. She taught them to commit immoral acts. Those acts are being committed today. Israel is being 'mislead' to give away their promised lands to the Arab peoples in the 'hope' of achieving peace and by doing this they are conducting an immoral act and not trusting in their Lord. The Lord of both the Old and New Testament Bible, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ is the only one who will bring peace to the middle east. The US is determined to continue commiting adultery by sleeping in the same bed with these Arab nations, with 'Jezebel'.

In Genesis 12:1-3; Jesus says to Abram,
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. "I will make you into a great nation (Israel) and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

Will the US finally stand up and voice its support of Israel and be blessed by the LORD, or will we continue to remain silent, while sleeping in the bed of 'Jezebel' and receive the LORD's curse and then be repaid in full according to our deeds?

Teachings Of The Nicolaitans

How many of you today can remember your first love?

Can you remember back to that very first time when you first started dating? The very first time that you held hands with your true love? Remember all of the emotions that you had for that person and the trouble trying to contain those exciting emotions?

Remember when you came to know Jesus as your own personal Lord and Savior? He too, became your First Love. That is the way you are suppose to feel when you praise/worship/serve the Lord. Bursting with emotion which is hard to contain. Excited. Eager to be with. Happy to speak with and to talk about with everyone you meet. Longing to spend every waking & free moment with Him.

So, let me ask you now... What happened? Why don't you feel that way anymore? Why are you not filled with those same feelings as if you had just met your "First Love"?

In Revelations 2:4-6; to the Church in Ephesus, Jesus says:
"Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. But you have this in your favor: you hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate."

Can it be that trying to worship/praise/serve the Lord you have spread yourself way too thin and now the joy of doing those things seem like such a chore? That now you are simply going through the motions and not doing them with a heart full of joy and happiness as if working for the Lord. Unfortunately, it is happening. Especially in todays huge megachurches. There are many individuals in the church, but just like everywhere else, it seems that only about 10-20% of them within the body are coming forward to volunteer to fill the needs of the church by serving or leading in a ministry. Those who do volunteer are the same individuals within the body who are already serving in two, three or more ministries just to simply fill a ministry need and over a short period of time, the joy of why they are there serving in the first place is slowly being lost or forgotten. Also, there may be other decisive factors going on within the church that may have dulled, confused or even desensitized the main reason why the love you feel for the Lord is no longer as it once was?


In Revelations 2:14-16; to the Church in Pergamum (Pergamos), Jesus says:
"Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: You have people there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin by eating food sacrificed to idols and by committing sexual immorality. Likewise you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth."


Nelson's 'New Illustrated Bible Dictionary' states that the definition of:
Nicolaitans: is an early Christian heretical sect made up of followers of Nicolas, who was possibly the deacon of Acts 6:5. The group is mentioned explicitly only in Rev. 2:6, 14-15, where it is equated with a group holding "the doctrine of Balaam," who taught Israel "to eat things sacrified to idols, and to commit sexual immorality." Balaam probably was responsible for the cohabitation of the men of Israel with women of Moab (Num. 25:1-2; 31:16). Therefore, the error of this group was moral rather than doctrinal. If the "Jezebel" of Revelation 2:20-23 was a teacher of this sect, as many believe, their sexual laxity was indeed strong. Most likely, they were a group of anti-law (Mosaic Law) practioners who supported a freedom that became self-indulgence. It may have been the same heresy condemned in 2 Peter 2:15 and Jude 11.

Unfortunately, this is even true in todays churches. We can see that the body of Christ has become just as divided as the current political landscape of this nation: Republicans / Democrats, Red States / Blue States, Conservatives / Liberals. The church can be currently described as either: Conservative / Progressive. There has also been noted an 'Exodus' from all of the mainline Christian churches (Catholic, Presbyterian, Episcopal, Methodist, Lutheran, etc.) to the smaller more grassroot conservative churches. Which immediately brings up the question, 'Why is there such a defection / exodus in mass from all of those churches'? The media may have the answer, over the last few years they have reported numerous times that sexual immorality within many of those 'Progressive' churches is continually on the rise. As mentioned above, it seems that the 'teachings of the Nicolaitans' is considered to be the accepted norm within the walls of those 'Progressive' institutions and that would go far to explain the reason why there is an increasing exodus from all of them... back to the Truth, back to their 'First Love', back to Jesus.

Whom Do I Think I Am?

Well now, I guess the best way to answer that question is to share with you a little about myself, my personal testimony if you will...

My Testimony

I thank the Lord Jesus Christ for this moment to share with you my own personal testimony of how I came to have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord. I continue to ask God the Father to bless you & your families always. May His love & grace be poured out upon you in unmeasured portions. I pray for our nation, our leaders and all of the peoples of the whole earth, that the faith of the church will remain true to their first love. I share with you prayers and blessings from our church to all of my brothers and sisters in Christ of all the nations of earth and pray that 'peace and love' be with all of you.

I personally was never raised as a Christian in a Christian family enviroment. I came from a home that did not practice the Christian faith (my mother was of the Episcopalian background and I was sprinkled with water in an act of infant baptism when I was born). We had a bible on our bookshelf at home and I was sent off to the occasional Sunday school with family friends when I was younger, but that was the full extent of my religious or faith-based experiences.

My dad was a sailor in the US Navy and would be constantly away for up to 6-9 months at a time. My mother had to raise me and my siblings (brother & sister) without the continuous wisdom and discipline of a father. I did many bad things in my youth that today I truly regret. I stole better than a professional thief, I lied like the slickest con-artist, I drank till I would simply black out & I cursed and spit out vulgarities that would make the toughest sailor blush.

The Lord Jesus Christ began disciplining me at an early age. On three seperate occassions alone, I can remember that I should have died. Once by electric shock, once by drowning, and lastly a major fall on my head. But God was always present and each time He helped me to survive. He wasn't quite finished with me and He had many more plans for me that I never even knew or even considered yet.

In 1982, I joined the US Marine Corps. I eventually found myself stationed in the Middle East {Kuwait}. My parents had just presented to me a new leather bound bible to read during April 1990 and I also found out that my dad had recently accepted Christ as his personal Lord & Savior. On August 1990, I was involved in the Persian Gulf War. Because of the sin in my life, God allowed for me to become a prisoner of war / hostage / human shield of Saddam Hussein for 130 days. It was then, while in captivity that I began to read the bible which my parents had given to me earlier in the year and it was then, that Jesus began to prepare my heart for a place for the Holy Spirit.

After I was released from Iraq. I soon got married and had a daughter about one year later. Her name is Tara and she was born with medical complications ('gastroschesis'; this is when the intestines are exposed on the outside of the stomach, due to a rupture or pin-hole in the stomach cells/lining during development while in the womb) at the time of her birth. I broke down and wept and sought God's face and His direction in my life. I finally accepted Jesus Christ as my own personal Lord and Savior on October 1993. I have given Him my heart as His own personal throne.

Today, Jesus has blessed me with a beautiful wife. Four daughters, a home to live in, plenty of food to eat, enough clothes to wear, no earthly worries or cares, a changed heart and a great hunger to serve Him in all things.

Now that you know who I am, do you know who Jesus is?

It is written in Mark 8:27-29 (NASB); when Jesus asks Peter, "Who do the people say that I am?"....

Jesus went out, along with His disciples, to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He questioned His disciples, saying to them, "Who do people say that I am?"

They told Him, saying, "John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others, one of the prophets."
And He continued, by questioning them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said to Him, "You are the Christ (Messiah)."

It is written in James 1:12

'Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the Crown of Life which the Lord (Jesus) has promised to those who love Him.'

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Where Will You Spend Eternity?

The above question is something which everyone should truthfully ponder.
Some say, that it simply depends on what you believe in.
Is there a heaven?
Is there a hell?
Is there right or wrong?
Is there Truth or is it all just relative?
Truthfully, and ultimately, It depends on not what you believe in, but in whom you believe!


Q: When you eventually die, where do you think you will go? To heaven or to hell?

Q: If you were to die right now and was immediately found to be standing at the gates of heaven, and God asked you, “Why should I allow you into Heaven?”… What would you say?

No matter what answer or excuse you may mumble or come up with ....

1. No one is good enough.
“There is no one righteous, not even one;” – Romans 3:10

2. You are a sinner.
“For all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” – 1 John 1:8

3. God loves us, even though we are sinners.
“But God demonstrates His Love for us, in this: that while we were sinners, Christ died for us.” –Romans 5:8

4. The provision – God’s gift.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 6:23
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ.” – Romans 5:8

Q: Do you want to go to Heaven?

5. Then there must be repentance of your sin (turning away from sin).

“In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent. For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man He has appointed (Jesus). He has given proof of this to all men by raising Him from the dead.” - Acts 17:30-31
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out…?” - Acts 3:19
“Repent and believe the Good News!” – Mark 1:15

6. What next? – believe and confess.
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” - Romans 10:9-10
“Whoever acknowledges (confesses) Me (Jesus) before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.” – Matthew 10:32

Q: Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God?

Q: Do you accept Him as your own personal Lord and Savior?

If you can answer "Yes" to both of these questions...

7. Then, show obedience – be baptized.
“Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’” – Acts 2:38

8. The result – Salvation.
“Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord WILL BE SAVED. – Romans 10:13
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” - Acts 4:12

9. Remain faithful and continue to grow in God’s grace and love.
“Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show Myself to him.” – John 14:21
